Dawn

Of course, I never understood how it all worked before, when I had the energy to operate it. Now I do. Let's start a deli!

Portsmouth - Spinnaker Tower

We took a walk around Old Portsmouth. What a fantastic place! They've put a lot of redevelopment money into it and it's worked well. The Spinnaker Tower, whilst much derided as a waste of money, is so graceful and completely changes the landscape. The Old Town is full of history and it's been presented in a way that makes it very accessible. We were so impressed we thought we'd like to live there! We had a good traditional fish and chip lunch in the Still & West. It all puts poor old Southampton in the shade.

Calshot Spit

We went down to Calshot Spit to watch all the liners leaving at 1700hrs. There were three this evening: Oceana, Aurora and Legend of the Seas. This is Aurora which is probably the oldest of the three.

... and this is what I had for tea!

Bournemouth

My wife has been quite ill for 2 or 3 weeks with pneumonia. Still, she's a lot better now and will be able to go back to work at the end of this week. By way of recuperation, we went on a 4 hour walk along the seafront at Bournemouth. I was totally exhausted by the time we got back but my wife was absolutely fine. She's obviously better, but I need to get some exercise!

Hillier Gardens

We took a trip out to Hilliers Gardens near Romsey to see how the autumn colours were coming along. I think another couple of weeks before it's at it's peak, but there were some high spots.

...but I couldn't resist Photoshop-ing it!

Loch Laggan

This was the view from behind the office while I was working in Scotland for a year. It's better than Battersea!

Strathmashie Forest

In fact "Tamalpais High" turned out to be a school - but not to me.

So I got this Blog today...

... and I'm not sure what to do with it! This is one of my favourite photos. I don't know what it is but I took it at the Chilli Fiesta in August.

And this is a passion flower that we found on our walk back from the beach on Skiathos.
